Set in stunning countryside, Pauntley Court, dating back to the 1300's, offers a tranquil escape in a stunning location. Steeped in history, it is the birthplace of Dick Whittington and was home to Elinor Fettiplace. The house is full of character and offers luxury accommodation with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.

Walk in the exquisite gardens, choose a bench to read your book, or simply get lost in the views. Just two hours from London and only one hour from Bristol and Birmingham, Pauntley Court is perfectly located for a weekend of yoga as you fill up on fresh air and nature.

The daily programme

The first class will be on Friday evening, followed by a delicious dinner. Jess will then lead you through two classes on the Saturday, a more dynamic morning class to align to body and breath and an afternoon practice to delve deeper into the postures and relax and restore. Each morning will start with meditation or a guided walk. On Sunday there will be a morning practice before breakfast, another shorter class before lunch and the end of the retreat.

Each day after morning yoga and a healthy breakfast, there will be the opportunity to walk, enjoy the beautiful grounds, have a massage or relax in one of the comfy lounges. A magical and very special country retreat. Arrival time on Friday 30 October is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish on Sunday 1 November after lunch at 2pm.

Things to do

The surrounding area offers an abundance of walks. If you fancy exploring further afield take a trip to Gloucester's historic cathedral and docks or add a day of walking in the Malvern Hills. There will be massages on offer in the free time, or curl up on one of the sofas to read or enjoy an afternoon nap.

Accommodation & food

The luxurious rooms are spacious, light and offer an extremely comfortable haven to relax and rest in. All rooms are very well appointed and are either en-suite or have their own private bathroom.

Delicious organic food will be served throughout the retreat. All meals are vegetarian - delights to nourish body and soul.

Client Reviews

Thank you Jessica Horn for the most wonderful yoga retreat. Feeling so calm and happy (and excited about the beginning of a new journey). I had literally no yoga & meditation experience before yet this didn't matter at all, the retreat is for all levels of yogis. Jess is a truly fantastic teacher. Thank you.
Helen
Jess is an amazing teacher as we were a mixed group and she was able to accommodate all levels, going deeper in poses if she sensed people were able. She guides you through the poses with a reminder of breathing which I personally loves as it connects the mind and body energy. I came away feeling that mind and body were awoken, feelingly lighter and refreshed.
Karen
