Set in stunning countryside, Pauntley Court, dating back to the 1300s, offers a tranquil escape in a stunning location. Steeped in history, it is the birthplace of Dick Whittington and was home to Elinor Fettiplace. The house is full of character and offers luxury accommodation with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.
Walk in the exquisite gardens, choose a bench to read your book, or simply get lost in the views. Just two hours from London and only one hour from Bristol and Birmingham, Pauntley Court is perfectly located for a weekend of yoga as you fill up on fresh air and nature.
The daily programme
The first class will be on Friday evening, followed by a delicious dinner. On Saturday, Catherine will lead you through two classes the first before breakfast and another in the afternoon. Classes are inspired by the work of Vanda Scaravelli, anatomically focused and provide a space to explore and dive deep into this meditative practice. On Sunday there will be a morning practice before breakfast, another shorter class before lunch and the end of the retreat.
Each day after morning yoga and a healthy breakfast, there will be the opportunity to walk, enjoy the beautiful grounds, have a massage or relax in one of the comfy lounges. A magical and very special country retreat. Arrival time on Friday 11 February is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish on Sunday 13 February after lunch at 2pm.
Things to do
The surrounding area offers an abundance of walks. If you fancy exploring further afield take a trip to Gloucester's historic cathedral and docks or add a day of walking in the Malvern Hills. There will be massages on offer in the free time, or curl up on one of the sofas to read or enjoy an afternoon nap.
Accommodation & food
The luxurious rooms are spacious, light and offer an extremely comfortable haven to relax and rest in. All rooms are very well appointed. Most are either en-suite or have their own private bathroom. Two rooms share a bathroom.

A big thank you to Catherine – what an incredible yoga teacher! I’ve woken this morning and the Scaravelli yoga retreat now seems like a colourful dream, the kind that stays with you long after you wake up.Charlotte
I had the most wonderful weekend thank you...so much. Really nourishing. The Scaravelli yoga was magical, inspiring and it has given me a whole different perspective – I really enjoyed it, and so did my body, it was a wonderful experience.Emily
It is the ideal retreat for anyone wanting a break that focuses on well-being. I would absolutely do it again. Yoga on a Shoestring are a fantastic company to deal with, everything ran like a dream.Sarah
You are the best Scaravelli yoga teacher I have ever had, and I love your mixture of a very thoughtful and intelligent approach to yoga with a light touch and sense of humour.Amanda
