About Itha108, Ithaca

Referred to as "Amongst the most beautiful yoga retreat centres in Europe" Itha108 combines elegance with natural beauty. Itha108 is located on the Island of Ithaca, which lies between the mainland of Greece and Kefalonia. This small island charms visitors with its lush greenery, pristine beaches and uniquely peaceful energy.

Respectfully built into the hillside with panoramic views of the Ionian Sea, Itha108 is an idyllic place for spiritual renewal. The retreat's stunning architecture creates seamless indoor/outdoor living for dining, bathing on sun-drenched terraces and relaxing in shady, quiet spots. This gives guests space to enjoy personal time, as well as the opportunity to connect with others and with nature.

The daily programme

In the mornings you will practice outdoors on the wooden yoga platform overlooking the sea. The day will begin with meditation and then move into an active practice, appropriate for all levels of practitioners.

The late-afternoon session will be a combination of yin and restorative yoga, as well as an exploration of alignment and deepening postures.

In between the morning and afternoon yoga sessions you can walk to one of three beautiful beaches, all just five minutes away by foot. Spend your time swimming in the sea, sunbathing or taking a personal excursion to Kioni or Vathy - one of the picturesque Island villages for shopping and cafes. There is also the opportunity for a guided island hike or you can simply relax at Itha108 - read, relax, receive a massage.

Meals & accommodation at Itha108

Food at Itha108 is fresh, delicious and made only from local produce. All vegetables are organic and sourced from the best of what the Islands of Ithaca and neighbouring Kefalonia have to offer. Plentiful, home-cooked menus blend traditional Mediterranean cuisine with a contemporary style. All meals are vegetarian.

Itha108 offers stunning accommodation, decorated with furnishings from Rajasthan, India, as well as Greece. There are suites (new for 2020), bedrooms and Mongolian Yurts to choose from.

The luxurious suites are located on the first floor of the main house. One offers a double room with en-suite bathroom, dressing room and a large terrace. The other twin beds with an en-suite bathroom and balcony overlooking the sea. Bedrooms on the ground floor have private bathrooms, mosquito nets and sea views. All suites and rooms in the main house have air-conditioning.

Mongolian yurts are set on platforms, high among the rocks and trees, with sea views. The yurts are light and airy with standing fans, mosquito nets and en-suite bathrooms. There is one standard yurt and three luxury yurts.

Client Reviews

We certainly had a great time at Itha108. The place exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and of course Jodi is the best yoga teacher I have ever met! The group were all very nice and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I just wanted to let you know that I had the most fantastic week on Ithaca. The place was beautiful and the food delicious. The group (which was brilliant) was absolutely unanimous about what a wonderful teacher Jodi was. Our sessions were always pitched perfectly and her sharing of knowledge was done with such clarity and inclusiveness.
Helen
I had an amazing time at Ithaca108. It was so nice to reconnect with Jodi and be in her company. She is very inspiring and has huge amount of experience and knowledge with yogic philosophy. All the people in the group told me how they loved Jodi and how they felt safe and healed around her. It was amazing to see for myself.
Jess
Jodi, our leader for the week, is a gifted teacher. She creates a calm and safe space where everyone can learn and grow at their own pace. Highly recommended.
Deirdre
Thoroughly recommend this wonderful retreat on the beautiful island of Ithaca, led by Jodi Boone. The venue is beautiful; wonderful set-up and food, all just a few minute walk from a lovely beach. But what makes the experience is Jodi. She is a very natural and empathetic teacher and I enjoyed all of her classes, particularly the morning meditation and evening restoratives. Her calming voice and thoughtful readings were both nurturing and thought-provoking.
Jane
Thank you all so much for a wonderful week in Ithaca. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to be cared for in such a beautiful place. The practice was amazing and the group was terrific. I feel so fortunate to have been able to take part in such an inspirational experience. Thank you all for everything that you do to make this possible.

Return taxi and boat transfers from Kefalonia airport to Itha108 on Ithaca are included if you arrive and depart at the times specified below.

The group transfer to Ithaca on Saturday 25 July is at 2:30pm
The group transfer from Ithaca on Saturday 1 August is at 9.00am

If you are unable to arrive in time for the free group transfer, consider arriving on Kefalonia a day early before the retreat or spending an extra night on Kefalonia on your way home from the retreat.

Ithaca is a remote island and the transfer to the island from Kefalonia can be complicated. For this reason, we recommend that everyone tries to make the group transfer time for both arrival and departure and plan their flights accordingly around the group transfer time.

If you need to arrive or depart earlier or later than these departure times, we can help you organise your land and water taxis. Please be aware though that a private transfer can cost up to 200 Euros or more (This is an estimate when using a private water taxi, the cost can be significantly less if you are able to take the public water taxi, but this is not an option if you have a late evening arrival or very early morning departure).
