About 42 Acres

We head to the luxurious setting of the 42 Acres retreat space near Frome in Somerset for a magical autumn weekend of yoga. A wonderful opportunity to revitalise in nature and enjoy reconnecting with yourself and others.

Set in 42 acres of private land, this beautiful retreat space is encircled by seven hundred acres of ancient forest. Sustainability and comfort are at the forefront of the 42 Acres vision, with reclaimed materials used to outfit the interiors of the property, plus all of the power is renewable and self generated through biomass and solar.

The daily programme

A wonderful opportunity for you to relax your mind, rejuvenate your body and reawaken your spirit. You will enjoy yoga classes which focus on movement, breath and relaxation.

The day will begin with a strong and dynamic asana class in the light, warm and airy yurt yoga space. After the morning session breakfast will be served. During the day there will be plenty of time for walks, massage treatments or curling up with a good book. There will be a delicious healthy lunch and the group will meet again in the late afternoon for a relaxing and restorative class.

Comments

I cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful retreat at 42 Acres, I had such a lovely, peaceful time. Everything was absolutely wonderful: the food, the location, the classes, the massages and the people. I left feeling thoroughly rejuvenated and really inspired to explore yoga more.’

Wow, what an experience! It’s hard to describe something when it’s so perfect without sounding whimsical, but it really was! The venue, the food, the practices – it was all fantastic. Amy put so much effort and detail into the planning of each practice, it really demonstrated her professionalism and commitment as a yoga teacher to nurture her students; she has really set the benchmark for future retreats.

42 Acres is a magical haven. The unobtrusively cool interior design is in a league of its own and absolutely bang up-to-date, and yet, this beautiful home still retains its connection to the past. The setting is 42 acres of glorious nature, gorgeous English farmland, bounded by ancient meadows and forests. I experienced one of the most magical weekends at 42 Acres and this place will forever be in my heart. I can't recommend it enough.
I had such a wonderful time at 42 Acres in Somerset last weekend. The house and accommodation were beautiful and spacious. Practicing yoga in the yurt was very special. It was a great crowd, with a good mix of people. Everyone got along really well and we had a good laugh too. The catering was spot on and the food was delicious. Yoga on a Shoestring organised everything perfectly and communication was excellent. I will definitely be booking again.

The yoga with Amy was really brilliant, gorgeous flows that were strong and challenging, but very opening as well. Lovely yoga sessions.

I just went on a yoga retreat in Somerset. It was totally brilliant in every way - the yoga teaching, the food, the location, the accommodation, the organisation - all excellent. Would recommend to anyone as a fantastic way to spend a weekend.
