About 42 Acres

We head to the luxurious setting of the 42 Acres retreat space near Frome in Somerset for a magical early autumn weekend of yoga. A wonderful opportunity to revitalise in nature and enjoy reconnecting with yourself and others.

Set in 42 acres of private land, this beautiful retreat space is encircled by seven hundred acres of ancient forest. Sustainability and comfort are at the forefront of the 42 Acres vision, with reclaimed materials used to outfit the interiors of the property, plus all of the power is renewable and self generated through biomass and solar.

The daily programme

A wonderful opportunity for you to relax your mind, rejuvenate your body and reawaken your spirit. You will enjoy yoga classes which focus on movement, breath and relaxation.

The day will begin with a upbeat and energizing asana class in the light, warm and airy yurt yoga space. All sessions will be adapted to the group and modifications of the poses will be offered to cater for all participants and to ensure that everyone is receiving the benefits of the practice and individual attention. After the morning session breakfast will be served. During the day there will be plenty of time for walks, massage treatments or curling up with a good book. There will be a delicious healthy lunch and the group will meet again in the late afternoon for a relaxing and restorative class.

Accommodation options range from a luxury dorm to a beautiful en-suite master bedroom as well as twin, double and single occupancy rooms. I cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful retreat at 42 Acres, I had such a lovely, peaceful time. Everything was absolutely wonderful: the food, the location, the classes, the massages and the people. I left feeling thoroughly rejuvenated and really inspired to explore yoga more.’

Sylvia
Wow, what an experience! It’s hard to describe something when it’s so perfect without sounding whimsical, but it really was! The venue, the food, the practices – it was all fantastic.
Sarah
I had such a wonderful time at 42 Acres in Somerset last weekend. The house and accommodation were beautiful and spacious. Practicing yoga in the yurt was very special. It was a great crowd, with a good mix of people. Everyone got along really well and we had a good laugh too. The catering was spot on and the food was delicious. Yoga on a Shoestring organised everything perfectly and communication was excellent. I will definitely be booking again.

With Margherita’s practice, teachings and nurture, I now feel revived, strong, inspired and positive! She starts with the foundations of yoga slowly building up to more complex flows and restorative class – which worked tremendously. As well as the yoga, she provides advice on well-being and nutrition, leaving me with true intentions to take much better care of myself.
Jo
I just went on a yoga retreat in Somerset. It was totally brilliant in every way - the yoga teaching, the food, the location, the accommodation, the organisation - all excellent. Would recommend to anyone as a fantastic way to spend a weekend.
