Yoga on a Shoestring is delighted to be returning to the beautiful Dordogne in the South West of France for this year Family yoga holiday.

Set on a river, which is perfect for swimming and canoeing, Moulin de Chaves, previously known as Tapovan, is surrounded by nature giving the feeling of being totally secluded, yet it is only a gentle stroll away from the local village Cubjac, where there is a river beach and plenty of little shops and cafes. The stunning town of Perigueux is only a 20 minute picturesque drive away, providing a feast of entertainment from roman ruins and churches to shops, restaurants, an array of festivals, concerts, exhibitions and museums. Plenty to satisfying both children and adults alike.

During the holiday there will be morning and evening yoga/ meditation classes for Mums and Dads whilst the children are kept busy with a variety of fun creative activities and some yoga. Please note that if partners would like to come and not be involved in the yoga or meditation that is absolutely fine.

Those without children are most welcome to join us....but a love of children is highly advised!!

There will be some evening entertainment for the whole group including singing, storytelling, games etc.

There will be one yoga free day during the week when we will organise a day trip out.

Camping
If you are camping you will need to bring your own tent, ground mat, sleeeping bag, insect repellant, torch, towel, toiletries and any other comforts that you feel are necessary. Limited space is available.

Indoors
There are various indoor spaces to suit smaller and larger families. If you are staying indoors, bedding will be provided but you will need to bring your own towel and toiletries. A torch may also be useful even if you are staying indoors as some of the inside space is in the garden and a torch would be necessary to reach the bathroom.

The food
Delicious wholesome mainly organic food will be prepared by the chef. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided everyday except on the day off, which will be breakfast only. We do ask for everyone to join in with the clearing up of all meals.
